Visit Plano Awards
Competing in the $3 million dollar plus budget category, Visit Plano won first place for every entry it submitted in this year’s competition. Its campaign promoting holiday events won in “Tourism Branding & Advertising” and included a social media contest garnering over 800 entries. In the “COVID-19 Messaging” category, Visit Plano’s swift pivot to a three-phased pandemic-sensitive campaign stood out for its timeliness and empathy. Visit Plano also dominated the “Local Awareness” category with its “What Do You Miss, Plano Texas?” social media video campaign highlighting local businesses during National Travel and Tourism Week.
In addition, Visit Plano took the “Cooperative Marketing” category with it’s “Welcome to Summer in Downtown Plano” campaign, a social media initiative in conjunction with Downtown Plano businesses.
Finally, Visit Plano won in “Video” for its “Let’s Go” video campaign showing Plano from the traveler’s perspective, and its “That’s Tempting” online food publication.
