Are you a Plano foodie? Visit Plano is bringing back its popular Taste of Plano Foodie Pass for a fourth year! The award-winning mobile program is designed to broaden consumer awareness of the many delicious dining options available in Plano. This year’s program builds upon three years of success with more coupons and prizes and an exciting prize sweepstakes.
The 2023 initiative won the Destination Marketing Program, Big Market category in the Texas Travel Awards, a prestigious competition recognizing travel attractions and destinations across the state.
About the 2024 Taste of Plano Foodie pass
The FREE, mobile-friendly program features a “passport” showcasing over 80 Plano eateries (and growing) offering small and large plates for every palate as well as inventive drinks and decadent desserts. Many restaurants also offer special discounts and other perks with their purchases. Find a list of participating restaurants here.
From March 4-September 30, 2024, consumers simply go to the landing page at visitplano.com/tasteofplano to sign up for free. A link is then sent to the user’s mobile phone, which opens the passport and directs the user to add the button icon to their home screen for easy access any time. Don’t miss this important step! (There are no downloads or bulky apps that take up phone space.)
Then, the fun begins! Users can filter by cuisine type or browse the entire list of participating restaurants for a tempting variety of food and special offers that can be redeemed when ordering. Once the passholder arrives at their chosen eatery, they check in on their mobile phone using the saved passport link.

Accumulate points for checking-in at participating restaurants and redeeming coupons, then users can cash in their points for awesome prizes provided by Visit Plano such as tote bags, coolers bags, drink tumblers, t-shirts, and stickers.
Fit for a Foodie Sweepstakes
Lastly, after checking-in to 20 restaurants, users will be automatically entered into the Fit for a Foodie sweepstakes:
- The first place winner will receive a certificate for a charcuterie board making class for six led by the Executive Chef at the Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West and $500 in restaurant gift cards.
- The second place winner will receive a one-night weekend stay at the Hilton Dallas/Plano Granite Park and $250 in restaurant gift cards.
- The third place winner will receive a one-night weekend stay at the Dallas/Plano Marriott at Legacy Town Center and $100 in restaurant gift cards.
