Tre Wilcox Cooking Concepts
Your colleagues will recognize local cooking legend Tre Wilcox both from appearances on “Top Chef” and “Iron Chef America.” Now, he’s the star of the show at his cooking school and event space in Plano, where he welcomes groups for private cooking classes, dinners, and team building exercises. If your team is ready to battle in the “kitchen stadium” in Plano and take part in their most popular team building event, they are ready to have you. Chef-tainer, Tre Wilcox and staff will guide your group through the format of a “chopped” style cooking competition.
Groups will be divided into four teams, given a mystery basket of ingredients, instructed to work together to create dishes using these items and our fully stocked pantry. Without the use of Google or any other internet help, teams will have 35 minutes to complete this challenge and present their dishes to the judges. Teams will be judged on how well they work together, the taste of their creations, utilization of the mystery ingredients and the plating. Prizes will be given to the winning team and Chef Tre will give a lighthearted assessment of the food and how the teams performed in kitchen stadium during the heated competition.
After the competition, you don’t eat what you make for dinner or lunch. The TCC staff will invite everyone to refill your beverage, take a seat, and allow Chef Tre and the kitchen team to prepare a plated 3-course or 4-course dinner for the entire group. Lunchtime events will receive a 2-course lunch.
