Stay cool Memorial Day weekend by visiting one of Plano’s indoor and outdoor pool locations: Carpenter Park Recreation Center (indoor), Jack Carter Pool (outdoor), Liberty Recreation Center (outdoor), Oak Point Recreation Center (indoor and outdoor), Plano Aquatic Center (indoor pool and outdoor splash pad), and Tom Muehlenbeck Recreation Center (indoor and outdoor). Admission to the pools is included in Plano Recreation Center memberships. Non-members and guests can pay a minimal daily admission fee at each pool. Outdoor pools will be open Sunday, May 25 through August 6. Check individual rec center pages for hours of operation.
Lux Resort-style pool and cabanas
The Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West’s third floor oasis includes a heated rooftop swimming pool + spa, with large, resort-style umbrellas along the perimeter. Complete with a bar and grill, it’s easy to lose track of time. Looking for more fun? Secure your space with a cabana rental. Available for reservations through Resort Pass or directly at the hotel, these cabanas allow you to stay shady all summer.
Memorial Day at The Texas Pool
On Monday, May 27 from 12pm-6pm come celebrate freedom and honor America’s fallen heroes with a celebration at the Historic Texas Pool with a National Moment of Remembrance ceremony at 3pm. Local performers, food trucks and snack bar, picnic areas and grills will be available. There will also be traditional pool games and a cannonball contest. Camp chairs, canopies, and coolers (non-alcoholic beverages) are welcome. Entry fee is $10/person; Texas Pool members get in FREE. Active-duty military and veterans swim free with ID.

Boots & BBQ at Legacy Hall
Boots, BBQ and brews on May 26th! Join Legacy Hall for Memorial Day Weekend with ALL DAY country music, craft beer and darn good BBQ that is proudly sponsored by Lexus. Spend your Sunday in one of the best backyards in Texas! Sip a craft beer from our on-site brewery, Unlawful Assembly Brewing Co! GA Tickets only include access to the Lexus Box Garden located on the 1st floor. This is a first come, first served basis with seating. If you take your BBQ seriously, purchase a VIP Balcony [21+] ticket to receive:
- Access to the 2nd Floor VIP Balcony overlooking the Lexus Box Garden (seating first come, first served).
- [1] BBQ Preset Plate from our very own Dry Rub eatery. This plate includes: Sliced Brisket, Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage, Four Cheese Mac and Fried Okra. Served with Pickles, Onions, BBQ Sauce, and Sliced Bread.

Sunset at Memorial Park
On Monday, May 27th at 7pm, join the American Legion Harding-Blaine Post 321 and Casey Joyce All-America VFW 4380 for a Memorial Day Ceremony at Plano Veterans Memorial Park. Program highlights include: a Posting of the Colors, the Pledge of Allegiance, the National Anthem, an invocation, a proclamation, roll call, passing of the folded flag, a 21-Gun Salute, and TAPS.
