There’s a new dog in town and it’s pawesome! K9 Cinemas popped-up quietly during the holidays, but it didn’t take but a few hours for the media to catch on like wildfire! From big name publications like Forbes, Time Magazine and Southern Living to popular websites like Bustle and Scary Mommy, another Plano story is making headlines.
The Gist
The concept is simple. K9 Cinemas is a movie theater that allows you to bring your dog to the movies with you! Owner Eric Lankford has a big heart for furry family members and believes they should get a night out with you too. Showings are currently on Friday and Saturday only. It can even be booked for a private event!
Tickets are $15 and include admission for 1 adult and 2 pups, and also include free soft drinks and water. Complimentary wine and whiskey is also included with tickets for those 21+!
Visitors can purchase dog treats at the concession stand, along with popcorn, soft drinks, and candy for humans.
A surprise dog themed movie will be announced the night of your movie.
Follow the Doggone Rules
All customers must review the three rules and sign a waiver stating that K9 Cinemas is not liable for you or your pet’s safety. All dogs must be kept on leashes at all times unless in a designated area that plainly states otherwise.
- Clean up after your pet.
- Provide valid papers from your pet’s vet on your first visit with each pet.
- Maximum two dogs per human allowed.
