Fall is almost here! Though fall may seem a little different this year, I think we can all agree we are looking forward to cooler temps, fall foliage, and safe fall events. We’re rounding up all the fun things to do this fall. Let’s go!
Fall Foliage Nature Hikes
Plano has 4,370 acres of park land, so there are plenty of opportunities to get out and explore the outdoors in these cooler temps. One beautiful thing about fall park walks is taking in the sights of the changing fall foliage.
The 800-acre Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve has 3.5 miles of concrete trails and 5 miles of soft trails along Rowlett Creek. This park provides for a stunning backdrop to your nature hikes.
Arbor Hills Nature Preserve is a 200-acre park with hike and bike trails, a two-mile walking trail, and stunning views of the prairie and forest. No matter where you turn, Arbor Hills is always glowing with a breathtaking view.

With Oktoberfest season, nothing gets you more in the mood than this Downtown Plano restaurant, Jörg’s Cafe Vienna.
This family-owned restaurant serves authentic Austrian and German food in an Old World atmosphere. Inside they have a cozy dining room with a bar, a bier stuben, and an outdoor biergarten.
Their menu includes old family recipes and traditional dishes such as wiener schnitzels, cream schnitzels, wursts, goulash, sauerkraut, red cabbage, spatzle, and apple strudel.
Another favorite is Bavarian Grill. Since 1993, Bavarian Grill has served authentic Bavarian food, beer and wine alongside weekly live German music. They focus on authenticity. Every recipe they use can be found in German restaurants in Bavaria, and most of their beer is imported from Bavaria and Munich.
