Tired of the same ol’ dessert options? Whether you are “too full” or “counting calories,” there’s no excuse. Here are five desserts you don’t want to skip while dining out in Plano. It was too hard to nail down just five, so don’t miss our honorable mentions!
Mexican Sugar
Don’t let the name of this dessert scare you off. Mexican Sugar’s Chocolate Avocado Cake is simply divine. It’s an ancho spiced chocolate cake with cinnamon meringue, chocolate avocado mousse and ganache. If you’re counting calories, skip your second margarita for this treat.
Taverna Rossa
After indulging in an artisan cheese board and craft pizzas, an order of their Homemade TX Whiskey Chocolate Stout Cake served with Plano’s award-winning Henry’s Homemade Ice Cream over candied bacon (yum!) is a must.
Sixty Vines
To top off a remarkable dinner, Sixty Vines’ Texas Olive Oil Citrus Cake is best paired with a dessert wine. This unique cake tastes just as its name describes and is topped with a mascarpone whip and seasonal fruit.
Tommy Bahama
Newly opened at Legacy West, Tommy Bahama has a beautiful dessert tray that is presented to you after your meal, featuring Peanut Butter Pie, Pina Colada Cake, White Chocolate Mousse, Malted Chocolate Pie, and Pineapple Crème Brûlée. One of the stand outs though is their famous Key Lime Pie.
XO Coffee Company
In Downtown Plano’s new quaint coffee shop, you can order a nice cup of coffee, lunch, and grab a slice of homemade cake while lunching with a friend or over a business meeting. Some of the cakes in their repertoire are Italian Cream (most popular), Strawberry Shortcake, Chocolate Chocolate Chip, Birthday Cake, Coconut Cake, and Chocolate Cake with cookie dough icing. Their selection changes daily. *XO Coffee has since closed.
