Visit Plano is excited toannounce the appointment of Alysha Carse as its new Sports Sales Manager.
Carse brings to Visit Plano a strong background in sports management and an extensive knowledge of the local sports and hospitality landscape. Most recently, she served as Catering Sales Executive at the Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West Hotel. Prior to that she worked as a Special Events Programmer for the City of Frisco, and as Registrar/General Meeting Coordinator for the United Soccer Leagues.
Carse earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Flagler College, where she majored in Sports Management. An avid sports enthusiast and athlete herself, Carse will run the prestigious Boston Marathon this spring as part of the Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge team, in honor of her grandfather whom she lost to cancer last year.
At Visit Plano, Carse will be responsible for booking sports tournaments and securing hotel room nights. Plano has long been regarded as a mecca for youth recreational sports and a sought-after national and international tournament destination for everything from soccer and lacrosse to softball and baseball. City facilities, affordable park fields, hotels, restaurants and attractions are just some of the reasons Plano ranks in the top five among The Sporting News “Best Sport Towns.”
“Alysha’s special passion for sports, eye for detail and devotion to customer service make her an outstanding resource for tournament planners,” said Visit Plano Director Mark Thompson. “She is ready to help our valued clients make the most of all we have to we offer, and guarantee a great experience for visiting athletes and their families.”
