Snowflake Bazaar
November 11-12
Plano West Senior High School’s Snowflake Bazaar promises to be a winter wonderland, bustling with vendors offering unique gifts, crafts, and delicious treats. Discover one-of-a-kind treasures while supporting local artisans and small businesses. Whether you’re searching for the perfect holiday present or simply want to indulge in some retail therapy, the Snowflake Bazaar has something for everyone. Aside from shopping, there will be live entertainment, including our band members playing holiday tunes. Bring your family and friends along to the Snowflake Bazaar, the perfect opportunity to kickstart your holiday season and find unique gifts to spread happiness to your loved ones. Admission is FREE and open to the public.
Snow Queen Ballet
November 11 – November 12
Studio 3 Dance proudly presents it biennial showcase of the Snow Queen Ballet. The ballet, based on Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale of the same name, tells the story of undying friendship between childhood friends through beautiful dance and costumes. More than 60 Studio 3 dancers, ages 3 through 17 will take the stage at the Eisemann Center for Performing Arts. Tickets start at $20.

It’s a Wonderful Life – Deaf Theatre
November 17-19
This beloved American holiday classic comes to captivating life as a live 1940s radio broadcast. With the help of an ensemble that brings a few dozen characters to the stage, the story of idealistic George Bailey unfolds as he considers ending his life one fateful Christmas Eve. This show is adapted for actors who are deaf or hard of hearing. Both deaf and hearing actors are needed and encouraged to join us for these upcoming programs with an innovative method of combining language to tell stories on stage. Deaf and hearing actors will work together to portray characters in the production with a performance that will be enjoyed by deaf and hearing audiences alike.
Saturday Flurries at The District
November 18
Discover the perfect holiday gifts from a variety of Holiday vendors onsite while sipping hot coco and enjoying your favorite holiday tunes at The District at The Shops at Willow Bend. Friends and family alike can enjoy all the holiday festivities from North Texas Performing Arts Scrooge Musical Performance, Christmas Carolers, Holiday Face Painting, Elf Stilt Walkers, to an interactive photo experience with a REAL reindeer- Blitzen. Kids can also enjoy a Letters to Santa Station to send Santa their holiday wishes! Once done, Santa himself, will make a surprise visit at the District to pick up all of the letters, as well as spread Christmas cheer to all. Afterwards, bundle up and join us for a special outdoor movie experience screening The Grinch.

Plano Holiday Market at Carpenter Park Recreation Center is a fun and free event that showcases handmade holiday gift items made of fabric, wood, ceramic, and glass. Other exhibitors have jewelry and clothing for adults and children, along with candles and soaps. There will also be a wonderful selection of salsas, jams, nuts, and dips for gifts or holiday parties. In addition, Collin County seniors will stock the Hip Hip for Gray booth with a variety of crafts including quilts, baby items, ornaments, and more.
Lights at Legacy

Enjoy complimentary train rides, balloon artists, toy soldier stilt walkers, little drummer boys, inflatable fun, live entertainment and more! Complimentary food and drink samples from The Shops at Legacy retailers and restaurants will also be available. The Nutcracker

Prepare to be transported to a realm of enchantment as Chamberlain Ballet proudly presents their annual production of The Nutcracker at the Eisemann Center for Performing Arts. Veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis have a successful song-and-dance act after World War II. With romance in mind, the two follow a duo of beautiful singing sisters en route to their Christmas show at a Vermont lodge, which just happens to be owned by Bob and Phil’s former army commander. With a dazzling score featuring well-known standards including “Blue Skies,” “I Love A Piano,” “How Deep Is the Ocean” and the perennial title song, White Christmas is an uplifting, wholesome musical that will delight audiences of all ages.
A Christmas Story

Art Centre Theatre presents A Christmas Story this holiday season. Based on the humorous writings of author Jean Shepherd, this beloved holiday classic follows the wintry exploits of youngster Ralphie Parker, who spends most of his time dodging a bully and dreaming of his ideal Christmas gift, a “Red Ryder air rifle.” Frequently at odds with his cranky dad but comforted by his doting mother, Ralphie struggles to make it to Christmas Day with his glasses and his hopes intact.

‘Tis the season: Plano Civic Chorus

Join Plano Civic Chorus for their annual ‘Tis The Season holiday concerts featuring Robert Young’s “He Comes at Christmastide” with string orchestra and “Three Mystical Carols” with organ by Conrad Susa. The 4pm concert will be family-focused and will feature an audience sing-along and a special visitor from the North Pole. The 7:30pm concert will be a more traditional holiday choral concert with a candlelight processional and recessional and will feature the Varsity A Cappella Choir from Wylie High School.
Dickens in Downtown Plano

Kick off the season with Dickens, a FREE annual event in the heart of the Historic Downtown Plano Arts District from 4pm – 9pm. Bring the whole family for our annual celebration which includes photos with Santa, a snow slide, the Coffee and Cocoa Walk, the Childrens Entrepreneur Market, and a traditional tree lighting with the Plano mayor and city VIPs. The downtown businesses will stay open late so guests can enjoy food and shopping. The event is located in Haggard Park, McCall Plaza and on a limited section of 15th Street in Downtown Plano. Free parking is available at the Plano Municipal Center (1520 K Avenue) and public lots off 14th Street.

Scrooge, The Musical

This North Texas Christmas tradition, in its 13th, year features a fast-paced and fun full-length live musical production, pre-show Christmas carols, and more. The cast features Plano resident Darrell Rodenbaugh in a reprise in his 13th year and 112th appearance as North Texas’s Scrooge. “It is such an honor to come back to this role with this amazing cast. I am energized by Scrooge’s very special message of rebirth and redemption and the powerful message it shares,” explains Rodenbaugh. “Scrooge teaches us that we have the opportunity to start our lives all over again and change for the better, and gives us our second greatest Christmas story.”
The cast also includes Plano City Councilman Shelby Williams and 2022 “Best of Broadway Supporting Actor of the Year” Tom Walsh. Local talent Sawyer Bell returns to the cast this year playing the role of “Young Scrooge.” He originally portrayed “Tiny Tim” in this same series a decade ago! Scrooge continues to be a family tradition for Plano, and this year half of the cast are performing alongside other members of their family. The diverse cast includes four young Tiny Tim actors, four representatives from NTPA’s Starcatchers troupe for actors with disabilities, and NTPA Deaf Theatre star and Plano community leader Meryl Evans. The cast also includes two Plano Chamber of Commerce Athena Award recipients, Sara Akers and Suzie Jones. Over two-thirds of this year’s cast are prior NTPA “Scroogers.”

At this Central Market class, participants will be divided into small teams and given three of the nine recipes listed below to make and bake. Christmas Watercolor Workshop

At this watercolor workshop held at Lyla’s Boutique in Downtown Plano, Denysse Felts will lead us in painting various Christmas and Holiday illustrations using Watercolor and basic handlettering techniques to create a Christmas ornament and a few Christmas cards. Stop by our Letters to Santa Station, so you can tell the big man what you want for Christmas. Then, head on over to do some fun holiday crafts! There are nearly 20 eateries inside Legacy Hall with plenty of kid-friendly options. Don’t worry parents, they didn’t forget about you, Legacy Hall has the merriest of holiday cocktails for you to sip on.
The Grinch Stole the Holidays

The Grinch stole Downtown Plano’s holiday ornaments, and we need you to get them back! Find one of our limited-edition #LovePlano ornaments on Dec. 16, and you get to take it home. Ornaments will be hidden in Downtown Plano shops and restaurants on Saturday, Dec. 16 beginning at 10am. Lots of ornaments will be hidden, so there is a great chance that if you come downtown that day, you’ll find one! We hope you’ll stick around for some holiday shopping or to grab lunch or drinks. Clues will be posted on Downtown Plano social media, as well as the Facebook and Instagram channels of some of the businesses in the neighborhood. All of the ornaments will be hidden between 14th and 15th Streets, from G Avenue to Municipal Avenue. Please claim only one ornament per family.

Santa’s Sleighin’ Holiday Event and Market

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., dive into the holiday spirit and support local small businesses with our holiday market. But the real magic happens from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. when our festive extravaganza kicks into high gear. Santa will be ready on the pavilion across the lake at our photo kiosk. His elves will be there to create your favorite balloon shapes and spread holiday cheer. It’s the perfect opportunity to make those Christmas wishes and snap a pic with the big man himself.
Move to the upbeat tunes spun by DJ Kelly Hooper, joined by the incredible electric violinist, Shondalla Calder. Look out for Frosty the Snowman – he’ll be strolling and dancing along The Boardwalk, adding an extra sprinkle of magic to the day. Indulge your sweet tooth with fresh cotton candy while the kids craft their very own snowflakes or unleash their creativity with Cool Crayations.
